Had a lovely walk round Drumbreck Nature Reserve near Kilsyth, the late afternoon sun staining the landscape some lovely shades of pink. Once home to coal pits and mineral extraction it has been transformed to grassland, woodland and marsh habitat for many birds and insects. From this low plain the Barr Hill is clearly visible where remnants of Iron Age and Roman forts can still be seen. Despite the cold I managed to do some sketching, lots of good colours to work with!
